Â
The week will include a visitation to a local retirement home on Monday, followed by a day of bell ringing for the Salvation Army at Super One (1515 Oakes Ave, Superior) on Tuesday.
Â
Additionally, Tuesday will be the first day of the Toys for Tots toy drive, a continued partnership with the Superior Fire Department. Fans who attend a Yellowjacket home game throughout the week are encouraged to bring a new, unopened toy for donation. These toys will also be accepted on the second floor of the Marcovich Wellness Center in offices 2408 or 2410.
Â
Other activities include gift wrapping for the UW-Superior Giving Tree through the Veteran and Non-Traditional Student Center (VNSC), delivering appreciation cards to faculty and staff across campus, and volunteering at Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank.
Â
"We encourage our fans and community to get involved and help us make a positive impact," Bursik said. "We are immensely grateful to have the support of our community and hope this year's Yellowjacket Week of Giving can benefit those in need as the holiday season approaches."
