SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Following the release of the weekly award winners from the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Tuesday, the Yellowjackets logged three nominees to the league's list in
Savanna Hering (Superior, Wis./Superior),
Kamryn Hill (Duluth, Minn./Denfeld) and
Dylan Uitto (Ashland, Wis./Ashland).
Hering accumulated 101 digs this past weekend at the Yellowjackets' home tournament, the Subway Stinger Classic. She set a new career-high against Concordia (Minn.) with 29 digs, aiding Superior to a 3-1 record on the weekend.
Hill led the Yellowjackets' offensive efforts this past week. Against North Central she secured her second collegiate hat trick while finding the back of the net again versus Crown, spearheading Superior's 2-0 start to UMAC action.
Uitto came in as the top Yellowjacket finisher at this weekend's St. Olaf Invitational. He garnered a race time of 26:45.0 on the day while placing 49th individually on the 8k course.
The Yellowjacket volleyball team is back in action Friday as they take on Northwestern. The opening serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. in the Ericksen Center.
The Yellowjacket women's soccer team returns home tonight to host Northwestern. The opening kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at SCCU Stadium.
The Yellowjacket men's cross country team returns to the course Friday, Oct. 3 in the Blugold Invite. Action is set for the Whitetail Golf Course in Colfax, Wis.
