SUPERIOR, Wis. - The Yellowjackets entered their midweek matchup with Northwestern coming off two straight victories to open UMAC play. UWS and Northwestern battled to a  1-1 draw on two first half goals.  

Match Notes:  

• Northwestern got the scoring started after a shot from Marie Kendall hit the crossbar and deflected to Briella Babcock who found the back of the net for the 1-0 advantage. 

• UWS evened the score in the 35th minute, as Kasja Kovala (Winona, Minn./Winona) got a pass from Julia Taylor (Richfield, Minn./Richfield) that found the back of the net tying the game 1-1. 

• In the second half neither team could find the back of the net for the game winner.  

• Quinn Clark (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East) made 10 saves for UWS, while Samantha Hansen made four for the Eagles.  

• Leading the way for the Yellowjackets in shots was Kamryn Hill (Duluth, Minn./Denfeld) with three, while Claire Loria (Iowa City, Iowa/Iowa City) and Emma Wright (Bemidji, Minn./Bemidji) each had two.  

UWS is next in action this Saturday against Minnesota Morris. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. at SCCU Stadium.
