ST. CLOUD, Minn. - After a hard-fought battle last night, the Yellowjackets women's hockey team hit the road for the second game of their back-to-back with Saint Benedict. In this matchup, it would only take regulation as the Bennies beat Superior 3-1.  

Game Notes:  

• The Bennies struck first late into the first period, getting a goal from Helena Siska with just 11 seconds left in the period.  

• The Yellowjackets tied up the game in the second period scoring a power play goal from Anna Scherling (Rogers, Minn./Rogers) as she deflected a shot from Ashton Parnell (Cambridge, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti) into the net. Parnell and Taylee Marks (Thunder Bay, Ontario/Hammarskjold) were credited with assists on the goal.  

• Siska added her second and third goals of the game for the hat trick in the third period as the Bennies took a 3-1 lead.  

• Kendal Gustavsson (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing) took four shots in the contest leading the 'Jackets while Addison Fee (Crookston, Minn./Crookston) and Scherling took three each.  

• Aliya Gricius (Winona, Minn./Winona) took the loss in net for UWS making 17 saves while the Bennies Savannah Wuitschick took the victory, making 19 saves.  

The 'Jackets (1-11-1, 1-2 WIAC) return to ice on Tuesday as they host Concordia (Minn.). Opening faceoff is set for 4 p.m. inside Wessman Arena.
