SUPERIOR, Wis. - After a shootout with the Blugolds last night, the 'Jackets were back in action again hosting UW-Eau Claire. In this game, a winner was decided overtime as the Blugolds were able to score and take the victory 3-2.  

Game Notes: 

• The Yellowjackets opened the scoring as Tyler Ryder (Byron Center, Mich./Northstar Christian Academy) fired a shot past the Blugold goalkeeper. Carson Riddle (Ortonville, Mich./Brandon) and Daniel Rozsival (Chicago, Ill./North Shore Country Day) were credited with the assists on the goal.  

• UW-Eau Claire answered back in second period, getting a goal from Nolan Grier to tie the hockey game.  

• The Yellowjackets regained the lead with the same three 'Jackets connecting again but this time around it was Riddle scoring and Ryder and Rozsival earning assists.  

• Dayne Hoyard tied the game back up for Eau Claire and sent the two squads to a second consecutive overtime game.  

• In the extra period, the Blugolds drew an AJ Reed (Milwaukee, Wis./Menomonee Falls) penalty which allowed Leo Bacallao to capitalize and send the game winner past 'Jacket goaltender Jan Skorpik (Brandýs nad Labem, Czechia/OA Prague). 

• In net Skorpik made 31 saves while his counterpart Max Gutjahr made 34 saves.  

• Ikki Kogawa (Chiba, Japan/Collingwood Collegiate Institute) led the 'Jackets in shots with five while a plethora of other Yellowjackets had three.  

Superior (11-8-2, 4-6-1 WIAC) returns to the ice next Friday as they host UW-Stout. The opening faceoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. inside Wessman Arena.
