SUPERIOR, Wis. - The Yellowjackets women's hockey team welcomed Bethel into Wessman Arena on Friday night. Through two periods neither team could find the net, but the Royals were able to rattle off three straight goals in the third period to take the victory over the 'Jackets 3-1.

Maya Anderson (Cambridge, Minn./Totino-Grace) was able to cut into the lead as she scored her first career goal, getting an assist from Ashton Parnell (Cambridge, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti).

The Yellowjackets were led in shots by Ella Hornung (Stillwater, Minn./Hill-Murray), who took five while Anderson took four, and Anna Scherling (Rogers, Minn./Rogers) and Taylee Marks (Thunder Bay, Ontario/Hammarskjold) took three each.
The Yellowjackets will return to action tomorrow again against Bethel this time at the National Sports Center. Opening faceoff is set for 3 p.m. in Blaine, Minn.
