STEVENS POINT, Wis. - The Yellowjacket men's hockey team was back facing UW-Stevens Point on Saturday night in their final game of the regular season. There were big WIAC playoff implications on the line in the contest as the 'Jackets needed a win to secure the fourth seed, and Pointers needed a win or overtime to secure the three seed. The Yellowjackets were able to fend off a Pointer rally in the end, winning 3-2.

Chris Ishmael (Oakville, Ontario/Abbey Park Secondary School) doubled the 'Jacket lead midway through the second period as he lit the lamp. Liam Whitehouse (Mount Kisco, N.Y./Horace Greeley) and Daniel Rozsival (Chicago, Ill./North Shore Country Day) were credited with assists on the goal.
With the victory, the Yellowjackets (13-10-2, 6-8-1 WIAC) earned the right to host the 4/5 matchup in the WIAC tournament in which they will again see UW-Stevens Point. The opening faceoff from Wessman Arena is scheduled for 7 p.m. next Saturday.
