SUPERIOR, Wis. - The Yellowjacket women's hockey team hosted Beloit in the final weekend of the regular season. Despite outshooting the Buccaneers 48-5 the 'Jackets only scored once courtesy of Kendal Gustavsson (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing), which proved to be all Superior needed.  

Game Notes:  

• Gustavsson scored the lone goal of the game in the second period beating Beloit the goalkeeper off an assist from Ashton Parnell (Cambridge, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti).  

• The Yellowjackets were led in shots by Parnell and Anna Scherling (Rogers, Minn./Rogers) who each took six, Addison Fee (Crookston, Minn./Crookston) took five of her own throughout the game.  

• In the face-off circle Parnell won nine of her 15, Kasja Kovala (Winona, Minn./Winona) took eight of 12, and Parnell went 7-13.  

• In the net, Maddie Wostrel (Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park) saved all five of the shots she faced in the contest. Beloit goalie Maddy Bliss made 47 saves.  

UW-Superior (3-20-1, 3-8-0 WIAC) and Beloit run it back tomorrow with puck drop set for 2 p.m. inside Wessman Arena.
