SUPERIOR, Wis. – The Yellowjacket women's hockey team snapped their 18-game losing streak Saturday, as they took down Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) foe UW-Stevens Point by a score of 3-2 inside Wessman Arena.

- At 17:20 in the first period, Anna Scherling (Rogers, Minn./Rogers) took feeds from Ella Hornung (Stillwater, Minn./Hill-Murray) and Kendal Gustavsson (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing) to break the scoring on the power play.
- Veda Roeske (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater Area) sent a shot from the blue line after Scherling and Addison Fee (Crookston, Minn./Crookston) touched the puck and buried her second goal of the season to take a 2-0 lead.
- Jenna Britz scored a pair of goals within 18 seconds of each other, quickly changing the momentum and sending Wessman Arena into silence.
- With under a minute remaining in the third period, Ashton Parnell (Cambridge, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti) found the back of the net to secure a 3-2 win, snapping an 18-game losing streak.
- Jayda Moyer (Albert Lea, Minn./Albert Lea) earned her first collegiate victory in net Saturday, making 24 saves.
The Yellowjackets are back home Friday, Feb. 20 where they host Beloit College for a pair of contests. The opening faceoff is set for 6 p.m. inside Wessman Arena.
