OSHKOSH, Wis. – The Yellowjacket softball team took action in Oshkosh for day two of the UW-Oshkosh Invitational, where they played the host-Titans and Beloit College. The Yellowjackets split their two matchups, losing the first to Oshkosh 7-1 before beating Beloit 7-0.

Larissa Snyder (Blaine, Minn./Spring Lake Park) drove in the lone run for the 'Jackets with an RBI, scoring Carly Stuckmayer (Delano, Minn./Delano) and making the score 6-1.

Maggie Gammell (Cottage Grove, Minn./East Ridge) got the scoring started for the Yellowjackets with a single to left field, scoring both Snyder and Karen Balabon (Elk River, Minn./Elk River) who each drew a walk and stole second.

Tessa Twedt (Brookings, S.D./Brookings) added another run for Superior with a single to right field, scoring Kylie Zwak (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East) making the score 3-0.

Peyton Bennett (Harrisburg, S.D./Harrisburg) made the lead even larger with a sacrifice fly to centerfield, scoring both Stuckmayer and Sophia Otto (Mequon, Wis./Homestead), making the score 5-0.

Balabon had a sacrifice fly out in the sixth inning, scoring Otto, giving UWS its final run of the game, making the score 7-0.
UW-Superior will head to Florida, where they will play their next 10 games. Their first matchup is against Marietta Saturday, with a 9 a.m. CT first pitch.
