SUPERIOR, Wis. – The Yellowjacket softball team and Northwestern returned to the NBC Spartan Sports Complex for the rubber match of the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) series Thursday. The 'Jackets got on the board early, but in the sixth and seventh inning the Eagles responded to win 2-1.

Game Notes
- Larissa Snyder (Blaine, Minn./Spring Lake Park) clubbed the lone RBI for the Yellowjackets with a double. She plated Peyton Bennett (Harrisburg, S.D./Harrisburg), who reached base on an Eagles error.
- Superior would get runners in scoring position and put together quality at bats throughout the game, but Ireland Strubbe kept the Yellowjackets at bay with just four hits allowed.
- In the top of the sixth inning, Hannah Storey sent a pitch over the center field fence to level the scoring at 1-1, and in the top of the seventh Lani Schoper followed that up with a solo shot of her own to lead 2-1.
- Sophia Otto (Mequon, Wis./Homestead) reached on an error and advanced into scoring position, but Strubbe worked out of the jam and gave the Eagles their 20th victory of the season.
- Bennett, Snyder, Karen Balabon (Elk River, Minn./Elk River) and Kylie Zwak (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East) each accounted for the 'Jackets' four hits.
- Abby Mitchell (Cloquet, Minn./Carlton) drew the no decision hurling 4.2 innings in the circle. Georgia Youngblood (Ray, Mich./Lutheran North) suffered the loss, with her record moving to 1-2.
