MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Yellowjacket women's tennis team embarked on their first match of the UMAC Championship facing off against The W. The Yellowjackets were able to make quick work of the Owls, clinching a 4-0 win. 

Match Notes: 

• The Yellowjackets swept the doubles point. The No. 1 singles pair of Andreina Tejada (Quito, Ecuador/Isaac Newton) and Claudia Curtis (Hartland, Wis./Lake Mills) won 6-0. The duo of Kate Jonas (Annandale, Minn./Annandale) and Anouk Bluemm (Nuremberg, Germany/Wilhelm-Loege Gymnasium) found themselves winning 6-3 over their counterparts. Elif Oezen (Rheda-Wiedenbrueck, Germany/Einstein Gymnasium) and Addison Fee (Crookston, Minn./Crookston) took care of their opponents winning 6-1. 

• In the No. 2 singles Blumm swept her opponent not allowing a point victory winning each set 6-0.  

• Oezen picked up a victory in the No. 3 singles, not giving up a single point winning 6-0.  

• Jonas clinched the win for the Yellowjackets, winning her match 6-0 and 6-1. 

The Yellowjackets return to the court tomorrow as they face Greenville for the UMAC Championship. Opening serve is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Baseline Tennis Center.
