MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Yellowjacket women's tennis team embarked on their first match of the UMAC Championship facing off against The W. The Yellowjackets were able to make quick work of the Owls, clinching a 4-0 win.

The Yellowjackets swept the doubles point. The No. 1 singles pair of Andreina Tejada (Quito, Ecuador/Isaac Newton) and Claudia Curtis (Hartland, Wis./Lake Mills) won 6-0. The duo of Kate Jonas (Annandale, Minn./Annandale) and Anouk Bluemm (Nuremberg, Germany/Wilhelm-Loege Gymnasium) found themselves winning 6-3 over their counterparts. Elif Oezen (Rheda-Wiedenbrueck, Germany/Einstein Gymnasium) and Addison Fee (Crookston, Minn./Crookston) took care of their opponents winning 6-1.
The Yellowjackets return to the court tomorrow as they face Greenville for the UMAC Championship. Opening serve is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Baseline Tennis Center.
