GREENSBORO, N.C. – The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) announced its academic winners Wednesday, and the Yellowjacket baseball team claimed the 2025-26 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award, presented by Sports Attack.
 
During the 2025-26 academic year, the 'Jackets garnered a grade point average of 3.29.
 
Nearly 500 college programs and over 320 high school programs were recognized for their outstanding academic achievement this year. The award, which first began in 2015-16, honors ABCA member programs that post a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the academic year.
 
This marks the Yellowjackets' sixth academic award from the ABCA and fifth in a row, dating back to the 2019-20 season.
 
The 'Jackets finished the 2026 campaign with an overall record of 27-14, coupled with a 14-4 mark in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) play. UWS claimed a share of the UMAC Regular Season Title, the first conference crown since the 1966 season, and set a new program record in wins.
