LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) released its 2026 Team Academic Award winners Thursday, and the Yellowjacket volleyball team claimed its sixth award in a row.
 
The Yellowjackets have received team academic plaudits from the AVCA since the 2020-21 season. UWS garnered a cumulative grade point average of 3.531 during the 2025-26 academic year.
 
A combined 1,432 collegiate and high school volleyball programs across the country maintained a year-long grade point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale) during the past year.
 
UW-Superior capped the 2025 season with an overall record of 21-12. The 'Jackets return to action Friday, Sept. 4 as they take on Wisconsin Lutheran in the Sugar Loaf Classic, hosted by Saint Mary's (Minn.).
