SUPERIOR, Wis. – The Yellowjacket women's soccer team hosted St. Catherine in non-conference action Wednesday evening. Superior displayed a strong defensive showing throughout the contest, but the Wildcats struck in the 85th minute of play to leave SCCU Stadium with a 1-0 victory over the Yellowjackets.

- Bella Meier sent a ball towards the back of the net courtesy of an assist from Navaya McCorkle for the lone goal of the evening.
- The 'Jackets were led defensively by Baylee Nygard (Saint Peter, Minn./Saint Peter), who made a season-high 12 saves in net.
- Niamh Larson (Brookfield, Ill./Riverside Brookfield), Sonja Root (Ashland, Wis./Ashland) and Sophie Adler (Cottage Grove, Minn./East Ridge) made up the lone shots for the Yellowjackets.

The Yellowjackets return to conference play Saturday where they travel to Minnesota Morris. The opening kickoff is set for 2 p.m. at Cougar Field.
