SUPERIOR, Wis. – The Yellowjacket men's soccer team played host to Bethel University on a rainy Tuesday evening. In a physical contest the 'Jackets fared well, as a trio of goals within the first 45 minutes spearheaded their way towards a 4-1 win over the Royals.

- The Yellowjackets opened the scoring at the 17th minute of play, as Seth Davidson (Sartell, Minn./Sartell) found the back of the net after a helper from Jay'ce Jones (Torrance, Calif./Palisades Charter).
- Superior's second goal came from Jacob Steffes (Chaska, Minn./Chaska), who took a throw in from Rowan Wagner (McFarland, Wis./McFarland) at the 39th minute and buried it past Bethel's goalkeeper Griffin Blokker.
- Jimmy Jamieson (Somerset, United Kingdom/Millfield School) logged his second Yellowjacket goal just two minutes before halftime, as a Bethel defender attempted to clear the ball before Jamieson rifled a shot at the top of the 18 to give Superior a 3-0 advantage.
- At the 59th minute, Harvey McLoughlin (London, England/Highgate Woods) sent an arcing ball in from the far side of the towards the left post and snuck it in for the fourth Yellowjacket goal, courtesy of Valentin Soares (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil/Colegio Equipe).
- The Royals were able to find the back of the net with under a minute to play, creating a 4-1 final score.
- Henry Ruhland (River Falls, Wis./River Falls) got the start in net and made three saves, turning his record to 6-1.
- McLoughlin led with five total shots for Superior, while Davidson followed with four.
The 'Jackets are back home Wednesday where they return to Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) play, taking on Martin Luther at 3 p.m.
