Before UWS: At Covington High School he was part of the 2010 team that was conference champions, bi-county champions, sectional champions and regional runners-up...The team followed that season with a conference championship and section runner-up finish in 2011...Following the 2011-12 season he received the Trojan Award from his team and was named All-Wabash River Conference First Team...That same season he ranked among the top 100 in Indiana in 3-point shooting percentage and 3-point field goals.
