Carter LaMont is in his first season as an assistant men's and women's tennis coach under CeeJay Schaffner in 2023-24. He is involved in all facets of both programs.
In addition to his coaching duties at UW-Superior, LaMont is also the varsity cross country and track coach for Northwood/Solon Springs High School. He has held this position since spring 2023. He is currently employed as a special education elementary teacher at Northwood.Â
A native of Villard, Minn., LaMont was a member of the Yellowjacket men's tennis team from 2019-22, picking up various Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Academic All-Conference recognition, as well as being the 'Jackets' representative on the UMAC Sportsmanship Team during his senior year.
LaMont was a member of the 2021-22 team that captured its first regular season and conference championship in program history since it began in 2017-18, defeating Northwestern in a thrilling 5-4 match.
LaMont graduated from UW-Superior in 2023 with a degree in Elementary Education.Â
