Men's Soccer Recruit: Taylor Lissick

Men's soccer recruit Taylor Lissick

Men's soccer coach Joe Mooney continues to build his team for 2012-13, and has announced his most recent commitment.  Taylor Lissick is the latest recruit to announce that he will be attending UW-Superior in the fall and will be playing for the Yellowjacket men's soccer team.

Lissick, a midfielder from South St. Paul, Minn., is a two-time Classic Suburban All-Conference selection (2010-11) and served as the Packers' team captain during his senior season.  As a senior, Lissick scored six goals and added eight assists for a Packer team that went 12-4.

"We're excited to have Taylor in the fold.  He is going to be a big help for us next year," Mooney said.  "He has a lot of natural talent and athleticism and I think he'll be one of the hardest workers in the incoming class."

Lissick also plays for the Minneapolis United Club Team when the Packers are not in season.  In addition to soccer, Lissick is a member of the South St. Paul basketball and tennis teams.  Lissick was an all-conference tennis player in 2010.

"Ever since I went to the campus I could just feel that this was the right place for me," Lissick said.  "The atmosphere there is incredible and I just get more excited the closer I get to becoming a Yellowjacket."

Lissick is the fifth men's soccer commitment for 2012-13.
