ST. PAUL, Minn. (January 15, 2018) – Two Yellowjackets took home UMAC Player of the Week honors Monday after stellar performances in their respective sports. Hannah Norlin (Litchfield, Minn./Litchfield) scored 47 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in two games last week, while Jordan Koski (Park Falls, Wis./Chequamegon) placed first in the 3000m run at the University of St. Thomas Invite over the weekend.
Norlin was on fire all week, leading the Yellowjackets to two wins while leading the team in scoring. In her first game of the week, she had 28 points and ten rebounds for a double-double, all while only missing six shots. In her second game, she scored 19 points, grabbed five rebounds, and blocked one shot. Norlin was hitting from all over the court, shooting 7-of-9 in the second game.
Koski capitalized on his opportunity in the 3000m run, setting a personal best of 8:50.34 and first place. This was the best time in the UMAC and top among Division-III and Division-I talent.
The Yellowjacket track and field teams will host their first meet of the season this Saturday, Jan. 20, and the women's basketball team plays Minnesota Morris the same day on the road at 5 p.m.
