SUPERIOR, Wis.: UW-Superior junior forward Eva Reinertsen (Duluth, Minn./Homeschooled) has been named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced Thursday.

The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The Google Cloud Academic All-America program separately recognizes men's and women's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Reinertsen, a social work major with a 4.0 grade-point average, is a two-time All-UMAC Academic Team selection. She was both UMAC Rookie of the Year as a freshman and an All-UMAC honorable mention pick.

This season, Reinertsen has been named UMAC Player of the week three times. She has collected two double-doubles against Carthage Nov. 16 and Northwestern Jan. 9.

Reinertsen averages a team-leading 28.8 minutes per game, while being second in scoring (15.1 points per game), rebounding (6.2), assists (2.0), field-goal percentage (51.7), free-throw makes per game (2.5) and blocked shots per game (0.5).

To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.30 or higher and be a starter or key contributor to their respective team.

Reinertsen will now advance to the Academic All-America ballot. Those honors will be announced at a later date.

The top-seeded Yellowjackets (23-2) host No. 4-seed Northwestern in the UMAC tournament semifinals Thursday at Mertz Mortorelli Gym. Game time is slated for 7 p.m., with the winner moving on to the championship game to play the winner of third-seeded Minnesota Morris and No. 2 Bethany Lutheran Saturday at 3 p.m.
