BLOOMINGTON, Minn.:Â The Yellowjacket women's tennis team returned to action Saturday afternoon, taking on Minnesota Morris in UMAC play. The match, orginally scheduled for late March before being postponed due to weather, was once again moved when a blizzard hit the Upper Midwest earlier this week. As a result, the Yellowjackets and Cougars hit the court in the Twin Cities for what will be the final road match of the regular season for the Yellowjackets.
And they will leave the road on a very high note.
The Yellowjackets were dominant Saturday afternoon, defeating Morris 8-1 to inch over the .500 mark for the season. The Yellowjackets are now 7-6 overall and a perfect 4-0 in UMAC play.
In doubles action the Yellowjackets went a perfect 3-0. The first match to come to an end featuredÂ
Emily Wald andÂ
Kitana Honkola  who took down Hannah Godzala and Abby Van Kempen at No. 3 doubles by a score of 8-2. The Yellowjackets' No. 1 doubles team ofÂ
Alison Tollas andÂ

Megan Dulong and Taylor Kane who teamed up to defeat Sam Tate and Kat Burquest at No. 2 doubles by a score of 8-4.
Things shifted over to the singles and Dulong picked up right where she left off. Playing at No. 1 singles Dulong rolled over Obright 6-1, 6-1.Â
Maya Callaway also rolled, defeating Burquest 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 singles. Wald, playing at No. 4 singles Saturday made quick work of Burris, winning her match 6-1, 6-0. Linder defeated Godzala at No. 5 singles 7-5, 6-4, and Honkola picked up the win at No. 6, defeating Van Kempen 6-0, 6-3.
