LAKEVILLE, Minn. – The UW-Superior women's tennis team took on St. Thomas Sunday evening, falling 8-1.
 
Freshman Breanna Wienen (Thief River Falls, Minn./Lincoln) earned the Yellowjackets' only match win of the day at No. 5 singles, beating Helen Watkins, 6-4, 6-3. 
 
Junior Kitana Honkola (Eveleth, Minn./Eveleth-Gilbert) was the only other Superior player to win multiple games in each set. Honkola won two games in each of her two sets against Sophia Dahlke on court 4.
 
In doubles action, the Tommies swept all three matches, but Breanna Wienen (Thief River Falls, Minn./Lincoln) and Maura Halverson (Brainerd, Minn./Brainerd) won four games against Sarah Willkom and Katie O'Connor at No. 3.
 
The 'Jackets host Concordia (Minn.) next Sunday at noon at Lydia Thering Fieldhouse.
