NEW ULM, Minn. --Â The UW-Superior women's tennis team moved to 2-0 in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference with its second straight dual-match win over Martin Luther at the MLC Tennis Courts on Saturday.

The Yellowjackets improved to 3-11 overall on the season while dropping Martin Luther to 0-6 and 0-2 in the league.

The pairs of
Megan Dulong (Grand Rapids, Minn./Grand Rapids Senior) and
Lainey Zurn (Almena, Wis./Barron) at No. 3 and
Kallie Olson (Eveleth, Minn./Eveleth-Gilbert Senior) and
Kaytlyn Syverson (Coon Rapids, Minn./Coon Rapids) at No. 2 won their doubles matches, 8-5 and 8-6, respectively, to take a 2-1 lead into singles play.

Maya Callaway (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East) beat McKenzey Crowley, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 1 to give her team a 3-1 lead in the match. Syverson then topped Josephine Bieberitz, 6-4, 6-4 on court two and Olson beat Hannah Broring, 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6.Â

Dulong dispatched Tatum Schulz, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 before
Shelby Hanson (Albert Lea, Minn./Albert Lea Senior) closed the match beating Charis Glende, 7-6 (7-5), 2-6, 1-0 (10-5).

Martin Luther fell to 0-6 overall and 0-2 in the UMAC with the loss.
