SARTELL, Minn. --Â The UW-Superior men's tennis team defeated Minnesota Morris, 8-1, at STA Fit on Saturday in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference action.

The Yellowjackets improved to 11-5 overall with the win, including a 5-0 mark in league play.

UWS swept doubles and got all seven of singles wins in straight sets.

Frederick Diehl (Minneapolis, Minn./Academy of Holy Angels) and

Michael Janes (Bismarck, N.D./Legacy) defeated Gearou, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 1 singles, Potz Nagy beat Garmen, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 2 and Gilbertson beat Decker, 6-1, 6-4, at three.

Carter LaMont (Villard, Minn./Minnewaska Area) (6-0, 6-1) won at No. 4 over Knudson while Dempsey won by default at No. 6 for the final margin.
The Cougars fell to 0-7 overall and 0-4 in the conference with the loss.
UWS returns to action Wednesday against Northwestern. First serve at the Yellowjackets Outdoor Tennis Complex is set for 3 p.m.
