SARTELL, Minn. -- The UW-Superior women's tennis team shut out Minnesota Morris, 9-0, in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference action on Saturday.
 
The Yellowjackets (6-12, 5-0 UMAC) took all matches in straight sets.
 
Megan Dulong (Grand Rapids, Minn./Grand Rapids Senior) and Chiyono Owa (Tokyo, Japan/Otsuma Nakano Senior) beat Kiley Rodarmel and Kate Obright, 8-5, at No. 1 doubles, Lainey Zurn (Almena, Wis./Barron) and Maya Callaway (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East) topped Megan Arens and Abby Burquest by the same score at No. 2 and Kaytlyn Syverson (Coon Rapids, Minn./Coon Rapids) and Kallie Olson (Eveleth, Minn./Eveleth-Gilbert Senior) defeated BeBe Say and Marybeth Tautges, 8-1.
 
Callaway beat Rodermel, 6-3, 6-1, at No. 1 singles, Syverson topped Obright, 6-4, 7-5, at No. 2 and Dulong beat Arens, 6-2, 6-1. 
 
Owa (6-4, 6-2), Shelby Hanson (Albert Lea, Minn./Albert Lea Senior) (6-1, 6-2) and Zurn (6-0, 6-0) won their singles matches against Burquest, Say and Tautges, respectively, to seal the victory.
 
Minnesota Morris fell to 3-4 overall and 2-2 in the league with the loss.
 
UWS returns to action Wednesday against Northwestern. First serve at the Yellowjackets Outdoor Tennis Complex is set for 5:15 p.m.
