RIVER FALLS, Wis. --Â Senior
Tyler Finger (Clintonville, Wis./Clintonville) and sophomore
Ethan Westimayer (Laona, Wis./Laona) each won events, powering the UW-Superior men's track and field team to a third-place finish in the Falcon Invite at UW-River Falls' Smith Stadium at Ramer Field on Saturday.

Finger won the 1,500-meter run in 4:02.97 and Westimayer took the 200-meter dash in 22.74 seconds as the Yellowjackets scored 76 points, finish behind just Bethel (187 points) and UW-River Falls (113) in the five-NCAA-team meet.

In all, UWS posted 24 top-10 finishes on the day.Â

Freshman
Will Schorr (Superior, Wis./Superior Senior) clocked 11.47 in the 100 meters to take second place in that event.
Earl Foster (Forest Lake, Minn./Spectrum) placed third in the 110-meter hurdles while
Mitchell Hammer (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis./Lincoln) also finished third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 10:52.33.

Tanner Lee (Siren, Wis./Siren) collected a pair of third-place marks in the discus (40.02 meters) and hammer throw (42.38 meters).

Foster was also third in the javelin throw with a distance of 45.46 meters.

Steven Pearson (Superior, Wis./Superior Senior) placed fifth in the 200 meters in 23.12 and ninth in the 400 in 52.52 just in back of Westimayer who was eighth in that race in 52.07. Keiran Johnson was fifth in the steeplechase behind Hammer in a time of 11:08.87.

Lee placed fifth in the shot put with a mark of 13.07 meters while
Brock Phernetton (Frederic, Wis./Frederic) was seventh (12.69 meters) and
Nate Ohman (Lake Nebagamon, Wis./Northwestern) was eighth (12.37 meters). Phernetton (41.83 meters) and Ohman (40.22 meters) were fifth and sixth, respectively, in the hammer behind Lee.
