MANKATO, Minn. -- Senior Nate Ohman (Lake Nebagamon, Wis./Northwestern) and freshman Garrett Kroells (Green Isle, Minn./Sibley East) competed for the UW-Superior men's track and field team in the Maverick Invitational, hosted by Minnesota State Mankato on Friday at Myers Fieldhouse.
 
Ohman finished fifth overall in the shot put with a personal-record mark of 14.88 meters to score five points.
 
Kroells posted a personal record of his own in the 400 meters in a time of 54.94 seconds for 13th overall.
 
Ohman, Kroells and the rest of the Yellowjackets compete Saturday at Bethel's Gene Glader Classic. Events are set to begin at 10 a.m.
