ST. PAUL, Minn. -- UW-Superior senior center Josef Fahrenholtz (Chatfield, Minn./Chatfield) and junior guard J'Vaun Walker (Rosharon, Texas/Manvel) have been named to the 2022-23 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Teams in men's basketball, the league announced on Tuesday.

Fahrenholtz earned first-team honors and Walker picked up a second-team selection, the first career All-UMAC recognition for each. Walker was also named to the UMAC All-Defensive Team for the second time. He also earned that honor in the 2020-21 season.

Senior guard Levy Miguel (Luanda, Angola/Canarias Basketball Academy) was the Yellowjackets' representative on the UMAC Sportsmanship Team.

Fahrenholtz finished sixth in the league in scoring, averaging 14.7 points per game, and was eighth in rebounding at 6.3 boards per game. He was seventh in the UMAC in field-goal percentage at 48.1 percent.

Fahrenholtz scored double figures in 23-of-27 games, including dropping a career-high 28 points on 11-for-17 shooting against UW-Platteville on Nov. 12. Fahrenholtz was named UMAC Player of the Week on Jan. 16 for the first time in his career.

Walker averaged 13.1 points per game, good for 11th in the league, while starting all 27 games. He led the UMAC in steals per game (2.1), was fifth in free-throw percentage (74.7) and ninth in assists per game (2.8).

Walker scored double figures in 16 games, finishing the season with 20-plus in three of his final four outings. He poured in a career-high 28 points on 11-for-20 from the field in a win against Crown on Feb. 18 on the way earning his second UMAC Player of the Week honor of the season Feb. 20. He also picked up the award on Nov. 21.
