SUPERIOR, Wis. - The UW-Superior baseball series between the Yellowjackets and the University of Minnesota Morris, scheduled for Friday and Saturday of this week in Morris, Minn. has been changed. The adjustment was necessary as spring weather has left Morris' home field, Chizek Field, unplayable.
The series was originally scheduled for a single, nine-inning contest Friday, followed by a doubleheader featuring two nine-inning contests Saturday. The teams will now play two nine-inning games Friday, April 14 beginning at 9 a.m. at Becker Park, the home field of Saint John's University in Collegeville, Minn. The second game will begin approximately 30 minutes following the conclusion of the first game.
With rain in the forecast, the remaining game of the series, originally scheduled for Saturday, has been postponed. UW-Superior and Minnesota Morris are currently working on a day, time and location to play the final game of the series.
