Game Notes
- Both teams were unable to muster up a consistent scoring line in the opening quarter. The Raiders were unable to capitalize on multiple Yellowjacket turnovers, leading to a 10-9 output from both teams that favored MSOE.
- Hitting an early three in the second quarter was MyKenzie Leccia (Somerset, Wis./Somerset), who was set up with a pass from Elise Besonen (Ewen, Mich./Ewen-Trout Creek) to lead 12-10. Katie Dobson (Black River Falls, Wis./Black River Falls) followed that up with a jumper before nailing a shot beyond the arc to lead the Raiders by seven.
- The 'Jackets would lead by as much as eight points, but the Raiders came back and came within four with under two minutes remaining. A long ball from Besonen gave Superior a seven-point advantage (26-19) heading into the intermission.
- UWS scored a game-high 17 points in the second quarter, their highest of the contest.
- The second half of play saw the Yellowjackets engineer two fifteen-point quarters. Highlighting the beginning of the third round was Leccia, drawing a pair of fouls that led to a three-point play and sinking all free throw attempts.
