OSHKOSH, Wis. – Friday afternoon saw two Yellowjacket men's track and field athletes travel down to the Kolf Sports Center to partake in the UW-Oshkosh Multi. Getting the 2024-25 indoor campaign started were seniors
Garrett Lynch (Portage, Wis./Portage) and
Earl Foster (Forest Lake, Minn./Spectrum).
At the conclusion of Friday's opener, the Yellowjackets saw Foster claim 2,459 points sitting 11th in the standings, while Lynch collected 1,893 points in 15th place.
Foster saw his best marks in the high jump and shot put, garnering a pair of top ten finishes. His mark of 1.80 meters gave him sixth place overall in the high jump, while he capped his day in the sector with a heave of 10.92 meters. Foster finished the 60-meter hurdles in 7.5 seconds before finishing the long jump with a 5.96-meter mark.
Lynch grabbed third place in the shot put, securing a throw of 11.55 meters. He grabbed two other finishes on the day, taking 11th in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 7.44 seconds while jumping 5.98 meters in the high jump.
Both Lynch and Foster are back in action Saturday to wrap up the meet. Action commences at 10:30 a.m. in Oshkosh.
