ROGERS, Minn.—The UW-Superior men's tennis team traveled to Rogers Tennis Club where they matched up against Bethel University. The 'Jackets would take down the Royals with a final of 6-3.
The Yellowjackets are now 4-3 on the season.
Igor Guetten Chaves (Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil/Colégio Adventista) and
Ren Kurachi (Yokohama, Japan/Yokosuka Gakuin) both had two wins Saturday. Kurachi and Guetten Chaves played No. 1 doubles and would take a close matchup with Gavon Hutter and Dylan Magistad, securing the win 8-6.
Guetten Chaves also played singles No. 1 and would win his match and his sets 6-4 and took the set 1-0 after winning the tiebreaker 10-5. Kurachi played No. 2 singles against Magistad of Bethel and would also win his match, winning straight sets 6-2 and 6-1.

- There were six match wins for the Yellowjackets Saturday.
- Taking the win at No.2 doubles for the 'Jackets were Lucca Pelletti and Sharan Kanugovi (Bangalore, Karnataka/New Baldwin International School) would take down Eli Scheideman and Carter Sheard 8-5.
- Yash Chhabra (Jaipur, Rajasthan/Sanskar School) for the Yellowjackets faced Zack Chaffey of the Royals playing No.4 singles Chhabra would clinch the win in sets 8-6 and 10-6.
- Jacob Zacharias (Cambridge, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti) accounted for the other Yellowjacket win at singles No.6 winning straight sets.
The Yellowjackets are back in action next weekend at the Duluth Indoor Sports Center. Friday, Feb. 16 they are set to face St. Scholastica with an 8 p.m. start time. Saturday, Feb. 17 the 'Jackets are matched up against UW-Stevens Point. Sunday, Feb. 18 the Yellowjackets are set to face Concordia, Minn. for a 1 p.m. match time.
