ROGERS, Minn.—The Yellowjacket women's tennis team traveled to Rogers Tennis Club on Saturday afternoon where they faced Bethel University. The Yellowjackets would fall 9-0 as the Royals would take a clean sweep.
The Yellowjackets stand 3-3 on the season.
Match Notes
- Maya Haupt (Nuertingen, Baden-Wuerttemberg/Hoelderlin Gymnasium Nuertingen) played at both No.1 doubles and No.1 singles for the Yellowjackets Saturday. She teamed up with teammate Giulia Barros in doubles play.
- Claudia Curtis (Lake Mills, Wis./Lake Mills) and Stella Harris (Negaunee, Mich./Negaunee) would play No. 3 doubles, and keep the match close, but would fall short 8-6 to Courtney Nuest and Bryna Eigenfeld of the Royals.
- Curtis would also play No. 2 singles for the Yellowjackets would fall short to Julia Baber of Bethel 3-1 and 6-3 in two sets.
The Yellowjackets are back in action Friday, Feb. 16 and are set to face St. Scholastica. The match is set to start at 5 p.m. at the Duluth Indoor Tennis Center.
