NEW ULM, Minn. – The Yellowjacket baseball team traveled to MLC Baseball Field Wednesday, taking on Martin Luther in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) action. Having already played two games on the campus of Saint Mary's University, the Knights and 'Jackets only needed one more game to complete the conference series but were scheduled for a non-conference contest following game one.
Forecasts in the New Ulm area called for a sunny day of baseball, but the 5% of precipitation played a huge factor, causing two rain delays lasting over 15 minutes. Nevertheless, the Yellowjackets finished the sweep of Martin Luther by a score of 19-1 in seven innings.
The scheduled non-conference seven inning game was canceled and will not be made up.
