SUPERIOR, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Superior men's basketball team released its schedule for the 2024-25 season in an announcement Thursday. After leading his squad to an overall record of 18-9 and a trip to the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) title game, head coach Greg Polkowski looks to lead his squad for another playoff run.
 
The Yellowjackets begin the season with an exhibition versus Minnesota Duluth. The opening tipoff is set for Sunday, Nov. 3 at 1 p.m. inside Romano Gymnasium.
 
UWS opens the regular season hosting the 14th Annual Merrill Thompson Classic inside Mertz Mortorelli Gymnasium. The 'Jackets will face off against Marian Friday, Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m. before closing the tournament with a meeting with St. Olaf Saturday at 3 p.m.
 
Wednesday, Nov. 13 sees bridge-rival St. Scholastica enter the Mertz for a 7 p.m. tip. Three days later, the Yellowjackets host Macalester with a start time of 1 p.m. UW-Superior will travel to the Lone Star State Nov. 23-24, taking on Trinity and St. Thomas, respectively. Both tipoffs are slated for noon inside the Jerabeck Activity and Athletic Center (JAAC).   
 
Nov. 30 sees the Yellowjackets travel to Ripon for a 3 p.m. game. One week later, the 'Jackets continue the road trip taking on UW-Eau Claire inside The Sonnentag Center at 3 p.m., before UWS embarks on a trip to Storm Lake, Iowa for a contest versus Buena Vista, set for 3 p.m. inside Siebens Fieldhouse.
 
The 'Jackets will enter the 2024 Radisson Holiday Classic Dec. 30-31, facing off against UW-Stout and tournament-host UW-River Falls at 5 p.m. inside Don Page Arena.
 
After the new year the Yellowjackets jump right into UMAC action, hosting North Central Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 5:30 p.m. Three days later, Bethany Lutheran plays host at 3 p.m. before UWS returns to the Mertz taking on Northland. The opening tip is set for 5:30 p.m.
 
Saturday, Jan. 18 marks the 'Jackets and the Knights of Martin Luther squaring off inside LSC Gymnasium, beginning at 3 p.m. The Yellowjackets will shift their focus to Northwestern, hitting the road Wednesday, Jan. 22 for a 5:30 p.m. tip inside the Ericksen Center.
 
UW-Superior plays host to Minnesota Morris Saturday, Jan. 25 at 3 p.m. before hitting the road Wednesday, Jan. 29 taking on Crown. The opening tip is slated for 5:30 p.m. inside Wild Athletic Center. North Central hosts the Yellowjackets three days later, with a start time of 3 p.m.
 
UWS returns home for a pair of conference games, beginning with Northwestern on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 5:30 p.m. Alumni Day is set for Saturday, Feb. 8 with the 'Jackets taking on Martin Luther at 3 p.m.
 
The final portion of the regular season commences with Wednesday, Feb. 12 with UW-Superior traveling to Kendrigan Gymnasium, taking on Northland at 5:30 p.m. Bethany Lutheran travels to the Twin Ports Saturday, Feb. 15 for a 3 p.m. tipoff before Crown enters the Mertz for a 5:30 p.m. matchup Wednesday, Feb. 19, marking the final regular season home contest. Minnesota Morris plays host to UWS Saturday, Feb. 22 at 3 p.m. for the final regular season game of 2024-25.
 
The Yellowjackets finished the 2023-24 season with an overall record of 18-9 and a conference mark of 9-5. Advancing to the UMAC Tournament as the No. 2 seed, the 'Jackets defeated North Central 80-77 before falling to Bethany Lutheran in the conference championship.
