Yellowjackets Set 2025 Baseball Schedule

SUPERIOR, Wis. – The Yellowjacket baseball team revealed its upcoming slate for the 2025 season in an announcement Tuesday. Superior head coach TJ Oakes looks to continue the program's success after leading the 'Jackets to back-to-back seasons with a .500 winning percentage and over 20 wins.
 
UW-Superior begins the campaign with a four-game series with Carleton College Mar. 1-2. Saturday's season-opening doubleheader is scheduled for 1 p.m., while Sunday's games commence at noon at Mustang Way Park in Independence, Iowa.
 
For the fourth season in a row, the Yellowjackets will enter in the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational. UWS opens the trip with doubleheaders against Beloit College and Saint Joseph's (Maine) Sunday, Mar. 9 and Monday, Mar. 10, respectively.
 
After serving an off day, the 'Jackets will play single nine-inning games for the remainder of the trip, beginning with Roger Williams Wednesday, Mar. 12. The next day features a contest with Loras College before teeing off against Greenville (Ill.) that Friday. Rounding out the trip, Superior takes on Plattsburgh State Saturday, Mar. 15 before traveling back to the Midwest.
 
Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) begins Friday, Mar. 21 as the Yellowjackets are set to host Northland College for a three-game set. Friday's single game is set for a 3 p.m. start, while Saturday's doubleheader is slated to begin at 1 p.m.
 
Superior hits the road Tuesday, Mar. 25 to take on Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) competitor Saint Mary's in a doubleheader. The opening pitch is set for 1 p.m. at Max Molock Field.
 
The Yellowjackets resume UMAC play three days later, playing host to the Knights of Martin Luther College. Friday's opener commences at 3 p.m., while Saturday's doubleheader will feature a 1 p.m. first pitch. Non-conference action resumes as the 'Jackets travel to the campus of Gustavus Adolphus for a doubleheader beginning at 1:30 p.m. in Saint Peter, Minn.
 
Crown College travels north Friday, Apr. 4-5 for a three-game set in the Twin Ports. The opening pitch of Friday's single game is set for 3 p.m., while Saturday's double-dipper is scheduled for 1 p.m.
 
Following the three-game series versus the Polars, the Yellowjackets hit the road for eight straight. They travel to North Central Apr. 11-12 for a trio of games at Gleason Fields in Maple Grove, Minn. Friday's game will start at 3 p.m., before the doubleheader commences at 1 p.m.
 
Nicholson Field will host UW-Superior and Macalester Monday, Apr. 14 for a single game. The opening pitch is set for 3 p.m. in Saint Paul, Minn. Heading into the weekend, Superior returns to conference play with Minnesota Morris. Friday, Apr. 18 is set for a 3 p.m. start, while Saturday's doubleheader will start at 1 p.m. at Marthaler Field in Glenwood, Minn.
 
The Yellowjackets will face off against bridge-rival St. Scholastica Wednesday, Apr. 23 in a single nine-inning game at Wade Stadium, set to start at 4 p.m. The 'Jackets return home for the final home series Apr. 25-26, taking on Northwestern. Friday's first pitch is set for 3 p.m., while Saturday's doubleheader will start at 1 p.m.
 
Superior will have one final non-conference contest with the Saints Wednesday, Apr. 30. The opening pitch is set for 4 p.m. at Wade Stadium. Following the contest, the Yellowjackets travel to ISG Field for the final regular season series of 2025, squaring off against Bethany Lutheran. Friday, May 2 will see a 3 p.m. start time, while Saturday's games are starting at 1 p.m.
 
The 'Jackets rounded out the 2024 season with an overall record of 22-19 and a UMAC record of 14-7. Entering the conference tournament as the No. 3 seed, the Yellowjackets advanced to the championship game for the third time in program history before falling to Crown College.
