SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Tuesday morning the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) revealed its weekly award winners, and three members of the Yellowjackets were honored.
Savanna Hering (Superior, Wis./Superior) and
Makenna Hohbein (Holdingford, Minn./Holdingford) from the Yellowjacket volleyball team were slated as the league's defensive and offensive athletes of the week, respectively, while
Seth Davidson (Sartell, Minn./Sartell) from the men's soccer team claimed offensive athlete of the week.

Hering compiled 48 digs throughout last week's contests, helping the Yellowjackets to a pair of UMAC victories heading into the final stretch of conference play. She continues to lead both the UMAC and the Yellowjackets, sitting with 470.

Hohbein brought her kill total to 365 after a trio of matches this week. She added 10 versus St. Scholastica before posting 15 and 13 more against Martin Luther and Bethany Lutheran, respectively. Hohbein currently ranks 10th in total kills in NCAA Division III.

Davidson garnered his first collegiate hat trick this past week against North Central. His three goals and an assist landed him seven points before collecting another assist versus Minnesota Morris for a weekly total of eight. Davidson has aided Superior to ranking second in scoring offense across NCAA Division III (3.56 goals per match).

The Yellowjacket volleyball team is back in action Friday, hosting North Central. The opening serve is set for 7 p.m. inside Mertz Mortorelli Gym.

The Yellowjacket men's soccer team is also home Friday, hosting Bethany Lutheran. The opening kickoff is also set for 7 p.m. at SCCU Stadium.
