OSHKOSH, Wis. – Sunday afternoon the Yellowjacket women's basketball team played its first-of-two games at the BSN Winter Classic, hosted by UW-Oshkosh inside the Oshkosh Arena. In their first contest of the weekend against RV Ripon College, the Red Hawks logged 41 points in the first half to propel them to a 71-50 win over the Yellowjackets.

Game Notes
- Hope Carlson (Duluth, Minn./Proctor) made up four Superior points in the first, drawing a pair of fouls and making all shots from the charity stripe.
- The 'Jackets kept Ripon on their toes in the second, shrinking their lead to just seven with offense from Maddie Reott (Stoughton, Wis./Stoughton), Colleen Claude (Centuria, Wis./Homeschool) and Kyra Latvala (Solon Springs, Wis./Solon Springs).
- During the second half, the Red Hawks outscored the Yellowjackets 30-22, leading to a 71-50 win.
- Carlson led offensively with 16 points off the bench, logging 25 minutes and adding five boards. Claude followed with 10 points and two rebounds of her own.
- Both MyKenzie Leccia (Somerset, Wis./Somerset) and Reott grabbed five rebounds as well.
- Ripon was led by Sophie Schlieve, scoring 20 points and accumulating nine rebounds.
- UWS shot 29.8 percent from the field.

The Yellowjackets will play their second game of the BSN Winter Classic Monday against the host Titans. The opening tipoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
