SUPERIOR, Wis. – The track and field season for the Yellowjacket men is drawing near, and before the entire team is in action next week at St. Scholastica, Superior sent junior thrower Carson Wilhorn (Necedah, Wis./Necedah) down south to the Early Bird, hosted by the Titans of UW-Oshkosh.
 
Competing in the weight throw, Wilhorn finished third in a field of Titan student-athletes. All five throws exceeded his collegiate marks to-date, as he solidified a new personal record of 17.30 meters. This mark places him 13th overall in the nation.
 
The Yellowjackets begin the 2025-26 indoor season next Saturday, traveling over the bridge to compete at the CSS Early Bird inside the Burns Wellness Commons.
