SUPERIOR, Wis. – A day after rolling to a win over Northland College in a snappy one hour, fifty minutes, the Yellowjacket baseball team was back on the turf Friday, hosting the LumberJacks for a pair of games to close out their weekend series.
Â
Thursday's game was played at venerable Wade Stadium in Duluth, while Friday's games shifted back to Superior. And even though the venue changed, the quickness of the contests did not.
Â
Fueled by big innings in each game, the Yellowjackets rolled Friday, sweeping Northland by scores of 13-1 and 13-3 at the NBC Spartan Sports Complex.
Friday's games were also played in snappy fashion, with the first game being completed in one hour, thirty-three minutes, while the second was a minute over two-hour mark. With the wins, the Yellowjackets have now won three straight and improved to 8-9 overall while moving to 3-0 in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference. Â
