SAINT PETER, Minn. – Saturday marked the Yellowjacket women's tennis team's first match since returning from their spring trip destination of Gulf Shores, Alabama, as they duked it out with the Golden Gusties of Gustavus Adolphus College.

Superior wrapped up its spring trip boasting a 4-1 record, while the Gusties left the Lone Star State 3-3 while facing a slew of ranked opponents.

As both teams shifted to play back home in the Midwest, more specifically the Swanson Tennis Center, the Yellowjackets ultimately fell to the No. 23 ranked team in the land, falling 7-0 to GAC.

Match Notes
- The Yellowjacket duo of Anouk Bluemm (Nuernberg, Germany/Wilhelm-Loege Gymnasium) and Andreina Tejada (Quito, Ecuador/Isaac Newton) fell to their No. 1 counterparts 6-2, while Giulia Araujo De Barros (Curitiba, Brazil/Colegio Sabre) and Claudia Curtis (Lake Mills, Wis./Lake Mills) (6-0) alongside Kate Jonas (Annandale, Minn./Annandale) and Brooke Wilfong (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Tech) (6-1) also dropped their doubles matches.
- Tejada and Bluemm, slotted at the Nos. 1 and 2 positions respectively, each fell 6-0, 6-0.
- Elif Oezen (Rheda-Wiedenbrueck, Germany/Einstein Gymnasium) was bested by Noor Omar 6-1, 6-0 at the third spot.
- Curtis and Araujo De Barros each dropped their singles bouts, while Jonas suffered a 6-1, 6-1 loss at No. 6 singles.
