Yellowjackets Close Regular Season With Wins Over MSOE, Stout

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – It's been a heck of a run for the Yellowjacket women's tennis team.

Friday afternoon, the Yellowjackets set a new program record with their 17th win of the season. More importantly, that same victory gave the Yellowjackets their second Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) North Division title for the second year in a row. As a result of the win, the Yellowjackets will be the No. 1 seed from the North Division heading into next weekend's UMAC Tournament.

Before that, however, there was still some business to take care of, as the 'Jackets had a pair of non-conference matches on the docket to close out the regular season Saturday.

The Yellowjackets showed up in a big way Saturday, rolling to a pair of wins to close out the season in style.

The 'Jackets had little difficulty with the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOC), rolling to a 7-0 win over the Raiders at the John and Fay Menard YMCA Tennis Center in Eau Claire. They then closed out the day with a 6-1 win over UW-Stout at Eau Claire Regis High School.

With the wins, the Yellowjackets (19-5) extend their winning streak to eight heading into the UMAC Tournament.
