GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Yellowjacket baseball team snagged the 2024-25 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award presented by Sports Attack, the organization announced Wednesday.
 
During the 2024-25 academic year, the 'Jackets garnered a grade point average of 3.428.
 
This year, 440 college programs and nearly 300 high school programs were recognized for their outstanding academic achievement. To be honored, teams must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale during the academic year.
 
This marks the team's fifth academic award from the ABCA dating back to the 2019-20 season.
 
The Yellowjackets ended the 2025 season with an overall record of 18-21, coupled with a 12-9 mark in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC).
