Box Score 2 La Crosse, Wis. - The Yellowjacket volleyball team continued their matches at the UW-La Crosse Invitational Saturday afternoon after emerging victorious in their first two matches of the weekend. They started off with a match against St. Norbert who they defeated 3-1. To finish their tournament, they took on host UW-La Crosse and dropped the match 3-1.

In set two UWS jumped in front early with an 8-2 lead behind kills from Marena Saeger (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater), but St. Norbert went on a run of their own to take the lead 9-8. From there the Green Knights took control and won the set 25-19.

In set four the two teams again traded early points, but the Yellowjackets held an early advantage. UWS was able to put St. Norbert away with a six-point run with kills from Makenna Hohbein (Holdingford, Minn./Holdingford), Kate Jamtgaard (Grand Rapids, Minn./Grand Rapids), and Claude, ultimately taking it 25-17 winning the match 3-1.

In set two UWS took early control off two kills from Hohbein and an ace from Sidney Bader (Milltown, Wis./Unity) contributed to the 'Jackets 9-2 lead. From there the Yellowjackets and Eagles again traded points, but the Yellowjackets finished off the Eagles with a set win of 25-13 
	 
Next up for the Yellowjackets they make their first appearance in Mertz Mortorelli Gymnasium on the season as they host the Subway Stinger Classic. They will face Concordia (Minn.) at 3 p.m. and Augsburg at 7 p.m. on Friday. Â
