SUPERIOR, Wis. – In their second-of-three matches in the 2025 season, the Yellowjacket volleyball team hosted St. Scholastica for a non-conference bout Tuesday. From the opening serve onward the 'Jackets held control and cruised to a 3-0 win, logging their second win over the Saints in the campaign.

- Superior obtained an early 13-5 lead in the first, spearheaded by Makenna Hohbein (Holdingford, Minn./Holdingford) and Marena Saeger's (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater) kills. From there Katlyn Jones (Bloomer, Wis./Bloomer) and Kate Jamtgaard (Grand Rapids, Minn./Grand Rapids) joined the mix and helped push ahead to a 25-12 victory in the opener.
- The Saints fell 5-1 in the second but utilized a pair of Yellowjacket attack errors to draw even on three separate occasions. As the set ensued, Sidney Bader (Milltown, Wis./Unity) and Sydney Smith (Milltown, Wis./Unity) provided the 'Jackets with offense, holding the advantage for a 25-19 win.
- UWS fell early in the third but got right back on track with kills from Saeger and Gabi Schwirtz (Plato, Minn./Glencoe-Silver Lake). From there the 'Jackets didn't look back, crusing to a 25-15 win and a sweep over the bridge rival.
- Hohbein spearheaded the offense with 11 kills, with Saeger and Jones following with nine and seven, respectively.
- Bader garnered three blocks throughout the contest, while Colleen Claude (Centuria, Wis./Homeschool) and Schwirtz accounted for 18 and 17 assists, respectively.
- Defensively Savanna Hering (Superior, Wis./Superior) led with 21 digs, bringing her season total to 329.
- Superior swung at a .333 clip in the third set, logging 18 kills on 45 attempts.

The 'Jackets return home Friday to open Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) action with Bethany Lutheran. The opening serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. inside the Mertz.
