MANKATO, Minn. - The Yellowjacket men's basketball team traveled south to Mankato to take on Bethany Lutheran. The Vikings were able to run away from the 'Jackets in the second half, taking the game by a final score of 82-65.

The Vikings and Yellowjackets traded scores to end the half as Nathan Deprez (Kaukauna, Wis./Kaukauna) and Micah Young (Minneapolis, Minn./Thomas Edison) helped the 'Jackets trail by ten going into halftime.

Evan Bennett (Superior, Wis./Superior) and Andrew Beers (Slinger, Wis./Slinger) opened the scoring in the second half for UWS. The 'Jackets were able to get the Viking lead down to four off three pointers from Bennett and Gage Braiedy (Mora, Minn./Mora).

From there, BLC went on a scoring run that allowed them to have a 21-point lead before scoring from Zane Nelson (Lewiston, Minn./Lewiston-Altura), Eddie Mittermeyer (Cadott, Wis./McDonnell Central Catholic) and Lucas Glaus (Elmwood, Wis./Elmwood) closed out scoring for Superior.
Nex up for the Yellowjackets (6-17, 2-8 UMAC) they travel to St. Bonifacius to play Crown. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:15 inside the Wild Athletic Center.
