ORLANDO, Fla. - The Yellowjacket women's tennis team took on a doubleheader against Roger Williams and Piedmont. The Yellowjackets were able to take down the Hawks 5-2 and then the Lions by a scores of 5-2.

The Yellowjackets won the doubles point with Kate Jonas (Annandale, Minn./Annandale) and Anouk Bluemm (Nuremberg, Germany/Wilhelm-Loege Gymnasium) winning their match 6-2 and the team of Elif Oezen (Rheda-Wiedenbrueck, Germany/Einstein Gymnasium) and Daylyn Drew (Negaunee, Mich./Negaunee) also picking up a 6-2 victory.

Andreina Tejada (Quito, Ecuador/Isaac Newton) picked up a win in the No. 1 singles match 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-7). In the No. 2 singles, Bluemm scored a win with 6-3 and 6-0 victories.

Oezen won her singles match 6-2, 6-1 while Claudia Curtis (Hartland, Wis./Lake Mills) fell in her match 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (8-10).

Tejada earned the win in the No. 1 singles with scores of 6-4, 6-3. Bluemm fell in her match 2-6, 6-2, 1-0.

Oezen picked up a victory in the No. 3 singles match with scores of 6-2, 4-6, 1-0. Curtis picked up a win in the No. 4 singles in three sets 7-5, 6-4, 1-0.
The Yellowjackets are next in action on Thursday as they face Dickinson. The match between the 'Jackets and Red Devils is schduled for 10:30 a.m. CT in Orlando.
