SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Following the CSB/SJU Optimistic Invite just two days ago, the Yellowjacket men's track and field team were back in action at the Hamline Invitational. UW-Superior continued building despite the quick turnaround, garnering three season-bests and 19 personal records at Klas Field.

Meet Notes
- Ethan Bowe (Chetek, Wis./Chetek-Weyerhaeuser) placed eighth in the 100-meter dash, crossing the line in 11.16 seconds.
- Kyle Peterson (Brainerd, Minn./Brainerd) continued his strong performances, placing second with a new personal best time of 14.92 seconds. Braden Niessen (Rush City, Minn./Rush City) followed with a time of 16.66 seconds for eighth place.
- Logan Ulate (Oconomowoc, Wis./Oconomowoc) and Garrett Kroells (Green Isle, Minn./Sibley East) finished the 200-meter dash with times of 23.92 and 24.22 seconds, respectively.
- Kroells took home eighth in the 400-meter hurdles, establishing a new personal best in 1:00.25.
- Dylan Uitto (Ashland, Wis./Ashland) finished first place in the 5k, crossing the line at 15:32.22. Maverick Hoogland (Catawba, Wis./Phillips) followed in second place with a time of 15:34.16, while Ben Plackner (Bovey, Minn./Greenway) had a race time of 16:08.37. All three of these times now serve as personal bests.
- In the discus, Carson Wilhorn (Necedah, Wis./Necedah) placed seventh with a heave of 39.76 meters. Chase Pierce (Two Harbors, Minn./Two Harbors) followed with a mark of 34.08 meters.
- Niessen placed fifth in the javelin before Alex Helstrom (Staples, Minn./Staples) garnered a mark of 26.12 meters for ninth place.
- Ulate set a season-best jump of 6.07 meters in the long jump.
- In the pole vault, Rene Sems (Ashland, Wis./Ashland) placed second with a mark of 4.20 meters, which now serves as a season best.
- Pierce also set a new personal best, placing fifth in the shot put at 14.02 meters. Wilhorn followed in 10th place with a mark of 12.78 meters.
- Taking fifth place in the triple jump was Edward Hakanson (Foxboro, Wis./Superior), leaping to a jump of 11.46 meters.

The Yellowjackets are back in action Saturday, April 11 for the Manitou Invite. Hosted by St. Olaf, action is set for 11 a.m. in Northfield, Minn.
