SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Three Yellowjacket student-athletes in
Tanner Voight (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater) from the Yellowjacket baseball team,
Abby Schintz (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East) from the Yellowjacket women's golf team and
Igor Guetten Chaves (Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil/Colégio Adventista) from the Yellowjacket men's tennis team were all recognized on the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) athletes of the week list, the league revealed Tuesday.

Voight led the Yellowjacket offense this past week in UMAC play. He went 8-23 on the week with four home runs, two walks, seven runs scored and 13 RBIs in a series win over Martin Luther and one victory over Bethany Lutheran. Voight leads the conference in home runs (nine), RBIs (31), and slugging percentage (.716).

Schintz spearheaded the Yellowjackets this past weekend at the Gustie Spring Classic. In round one she carded an eight-over 80 with three birdies and six pars before shaving two strokes on Sunday, where she logged 12 pars, eight of which were consecutive, to finish seventh overall on a leaderboard filled with some of the region's best golfers.

Guetten Chaves came away with a 6-0 victory at the No. 1 doubles position alongside
Sharan Kanugovi (Bangalore, Karnataka/New Baldwin International School). Later against Martin Luther, he would claim a 6-0, 6-2 win at the top singles position.

The Yellowjacket baseball team is in action Wednesday, taking on UW-River Falls in non-conference action. The opening pitch of the doubleheader is set for 1 p.m. at FNBRF Field.

The Yellowjacket women's golf team returns to action this weekend for the two-day UMAC Spring Event, set for Eagle Creek Golf Course in Willmar, Minn.

The Yellowjacket men's tennis team hits the courts Saturday where they continue conference play with Northwestern. Action at the William Zane Johnson Tennis Complex is set for 4 p.m.
